Asian-Australasian Journal of Food Safety and Security achieves COPE membership

The Asian-Australasian Journal of Food Safety and Security (AAJFSS) is proud to announce its official membership in the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)—a globally recognized organization that promotes the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct in scholarly publishing.

This remarkable achievement marks a significant milestone for the journal and the broader scientific community in Bangladesh. The AAJFSS is now one of only eight journals from Bangladesh to be listed as a COPE member. This recognition not only underscores the journal’s unwavering commitment to ethical publishing but also solidifies its reputation as a credible and trusted platform for disseminating high-quality research in food safety and food security.

COPE membership represents a journal’s adherence to globally accepted best practices in publication ethics. By joining this esteemed network, AAJFSS reaffirms its dedication to transparency, fairness, accountability, and integrity at every stage of the publication process from manuscript submission and peer review to editorial decision-making and post-publication corrections. This commitment ensures that all research published in the journal meets the highest ethical standards and contributes meaningfully to the advancement of science and society.

The editorial team of AAJFSS expressed deep appreciation to COPE for granting this recognition and extended sincere thanks to the journal’s editors, reviewers, and authors. Their collective efforts, professional excellence, and dedication to maintaining rigorous ethical and scientific standards have been instrumental in achieving this milestone.

Prof. Dr. Jasim Uddain, Editor-in-Chief of the AAJFSS, stated, “Becoming a member of COPE is an important step forward for our journal. It reflects our commitment to maintaining transparency, fairness, and accountability in scholarly publishing. This recognition will further strengthen our ability to serve as a reliable and ethical platform for sharing impactful research in food safety and security.”

With COPE membership, AAJFSS joins an international community of reputable journals, editors, and publishers that collectively uphold the integrity of academic publishing. This membership enhances the journal’s credibility among authors, readers, and institutions worldwide and ensures that its publication processes align with globally accepted ethical standards.

Looking ahead, the AAJFSS remains steadfast in its mission to promote responsible research, foster global collaboration, and provide open access to credible scientific knowledge. The journal continues to serve as a valuable resource for researchers, academicians, and professionals dedicated to addressing global challenges in food safety, nutrition, and security.

The acquisition of COPE membership marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for AAJFSS—one defined by integrity, quality, and the pursuit of excellence in scientific publishing.
