The Asian-Australasian Journal of Food Safety and Security (AAJFSS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal devoted to advancing research and innovation in food safety, food security, and related public health disciplines. The journal serves as a global platform for researchers, academicians, practitioners, and policymakers to disseminate high-quality scientific findings that address current and emerging challenges affecting the safety, quality, sustainability, and availability of food.
AAJFSS publishes original full-length research articles, comprehensive review articles, short communications, editorials, and case reports that demonstrate scientific rigor, originality, and relevance to the field. Manuscripts are considered for publication on the condition that they present unpublished work and are not under consideration elsewhere. All submissions undergo a thorough peer-review process to ensure academic integrity, methodological soundness, and compliance with ethical standards.
The scope of the journal is broad and interdisciplinary, encompassing areas such as food microbiology, food toxicology, food chemistry, food processing and preservation, foodborne diseases, risk assessment, nutrition and public health, agricultural sustainability, food policy, supply chain management, and emerging technologies that enhance food safety and security.
The journal publishes two issues annually in May and November and follows a continuous publication model. Accepted articles are published online immediately after completion of the editorial and production process and are assigned to the current issue without delay. This system ensures timely communication of research outcomes and rapid access to the final published version.
