Qualifications

Prospective Consulting Editors are expected to possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate (PhD) in Medical Science, Dental Science, Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Fisheries, Food Science and Nutrition, Zoology, Plant Science and Botany, Marine Biology and Marine Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences, or related fields.
• Previous engagement with international research journals, preferably in editorial capacities such as Regional Editor, Consulting Editor, Guest Editor, or similar roles.
• A distinguished rank of Professor or Associate Professor at a reputable university, showcasing leadership and academic excellence.
• An established record of academic and scholarly achievements, including impactful research contributions and notable scientific publications.
• Proficiency in research design, methodologies, statistical analysis, and commitment to adherence to research reporting standards within the field of medical and biological science research.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, essential for collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with publishing content models and proficiency in navigating web-based manuscript processing systems are desirable.
• Demonstrated capability for collaborative teamwork with minimal supervision.

Consulting Editor Role and Responsibilities

The Consulting Editor, serving in a crucial advisory capacity, will be entrusted with the following key responsibilities:

• Provide valuable input into defining the journal’s vision, establishing priority areas, and contributing to strategic discussions for long-term objectives.
• Offer guidance on maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity in the publication process.
• Assist in the recruitment and retention of capable reviewers, ensuring comprehensive evaluations.
• Contribute to the expansion and engagement of the journal’s Editorial Board, representing diverse geographical, demographic, and cultural backgrounds.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to address ethical concerns and ensure adherence to publication standards.
• Offer strategic insights to enhance the journal’s impact, visibility, and submissions.
• Collaborate with the editorial and publisher personnel to support the timely release of journal issues.

Term of Service

The selected candidate is anticipated to serve as a Consulting Editor for an initial one-year term commencing from 1st February 2024, contributing to the journal’s growth and development.
